Went to Key West on vacation and took a picture of this kitty near the pool of our hotel. The picture itself is not funny but if you look at the cats front paws you can see it has 6 toes on each paw (the cat looks like it is wearing mittens). I live in Florida and have heard the story but for all that do not understand .... Ernest Hemingway, who lived in Key West, was given a six-toed cat by a ship's captain. Now because Key West is a small island and so many cats on the island have 6 toes, it is possible that many of the cats on the island are related to that cat. Learn more about the Hemingway cats:
